Bali |
In Kuta, we stayed at Bali Dwipa, which is located on Benesari, about 100 meters down from Poppies II. We paid $6 USD for a room that was a 5 minute walk from the beach, provided bottled water on the cheap, is centrally located to anything you might want to do in town, and breakfast is included. Really can't ask for more than that! |

In Ubud, we stayed at a place called Nick's Homestay. We highly recommend this place, as it is centrally located, very inexpensive, includes breakfast, and the owner/manager is more than willing to help you with anything you might need. Also, the grounds are beautiful, and the place blends into the jungle environment. Please check this place out. |

Vietnam |
In Hanoi, Hanoi Backpackers Hostel was absolutely amazing. About $7.50 USD per bed per night, clean, comfortable, has air conditioning, and periodic BBQ and Happy Hours make this place a great place to make your base of operations in Hanoi. They also have secure pack storage for those making trips to other parts of Northern Vietnam so that you don't have to carry it with you. Oh, yeah, and free internet, free WiFi. Overall, this place has the hostel package down pat, and has created an environment that allows travelers to meet easily, the hallmark of a great hostel. Hope you enjoy it as much as we have! |
